Try Almond Honey Power Bars.
Lots of texture, fast on- the- go morning snack and quite tasty!
Almond Honey Power Bars
1 cup old fashioned oats
1/4 cup slivered almonds
1 tbsp. flaxseed
1 tbsp. sesame seeds
1 cup whole grain puffed cereal
1/3 cup currants
1/3 cup dried apricots
1/3 cup golden raisins
1/4 cup creamy almond butter
1/4 cup unrefined turbinado sugar
1/4 cup honey
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
dash of sea salt
- Preheat oven to 350. Coat with canola cooking spray 8x8 baking pan.
- Spread oats, almonds, all seeds on baking sheet and toast for 10 minutes, giving it a stir from time to time. Transfer to bowl and add cereal, currants, apricots and raisins. Toss.
- Combine almond butter, sugar, honey and vanilla with sea salt in small saucepan.
- Heat stirring frequently for 5 minutes.
- Pour almond butter mixture over dry ingredients and mix until no spots remain.
- Pour onto pan and coating hands with spray, press down until firm. Refrigerate for 30 minutes and cut into 8 bars.
