Chronicles of a Flight Attendants Diet: Flight Plan Changes Eating Patterns

Its one thing to practice a healthy diet at home, but working the friendly skies at least 80 flight time hours a month can mess with that healthy lifestyle. Hours are peculiar, to say the least, and by the time there is a chance to eat, craving all the wrong items is in full force. Tired, fatigued and not thinking straight from lack of oxygen can put a toll on diet. Packing a decent lunch bag must be a priority.

My last 2 day trip:
Fruit: berries and plums which are now in season
Vegetables: Greens, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes and olive oil and vinegar
Packet of hummus and pita bread (tortillas are great also)
Nuts: Walnuts (but not too many)
Cereal: Organic and whole wheat granola with an almond milk
Rice & Bean packet from Trader Joe's (emergency food)
Peanut Butter Packet to go with pita bread

Results:
Hungry a bit, but did okay. probably need to add a booster food like a green powder mix.
