They say, the last Monday in January is the day.........
The day that most people are depressed.
Why? you may ask.
Well, most of us have had it with gloomy weather and shortness of days. Most of us have the old Christmas bills coming in, one by one or should I say, stacks by stacks and SAD syndrome has affected us all. What's a girl to do?
Have you ever heard the phrase, Don't sweat the small stuff?
Well, that is really what it is........it's the small stuff.
It's not death, illness ( for most of us, anyway) or tragedy.
It is life and we should embrace the cold, the rain and SAD and keep the chin up!
Yes, easy for me to say...well, maybe!
This is the time of year to regroup our thoughts, change our exercise routine (like kick it up a notch) alter our diet and add a few acts of kindness. It is a good time of year to throw out the old, like old clothes that we haven't worn for awhile, throw away knick knacks that have been collecting dust and throw old, negative images, thoughts and reactions out the door!
So, I challenge all to try this new leaf on life.
Before we know it, the daffodils will be springing up!!!! Life is good once again.
